Welcome to Crystallized Sexuality. I’m Crystal, a sexuality educator, cultural critic, and avid pleasure seeker dedicated to expanding the collective's capacity for pleasure. CS uses the digital space to uplift the varied sensual and relational experiences of Black, Brown, & Indigenous people along the gender and sexual spectrum.
Here are 5 things you can expect to see from me:
1) Relating every topic, no matter how abstract or detailed, back to sexuality and relationships
2) Offering tips & recommendations to increase the quality of sexual relationships you desire
3) Recommending self-tested, or sexology-community-approved toys, aids, books, and classes to build your sexual self-efficacy for real-life decisions
4) Centering the many marginalized identities and experiences in my analyses, including alternative sexualities; sex in older adulthood; LGBTQIA+ people; disabled voices; and Blackness which intersects through all identities
5) Use profanity, colorful language, nude imagery, and anatomically correct language to describe our unique bodies. I encourage you to teach “the babies” something(s) you’ve learned from this adult platform!
Here’s 1 thing I hope to expect from you, my supporter:
1) Engage with this content through your likes, comments, shares, questions, professional inquiries, and donations! Digital energy is currency, so PLEASE publicly support my work if you enjoy it
***I’ve decided today (yes, just now) that this space is meant for me to lean into the nuance of pop culture and entertainment media, public health, and sensuality. As a recent public health master’s graduate, I’ll only conquer my fears of vulnerability by ridding myself of institutionalized coursework, fear of “grades”, and criticism from white academic standards. I’m throwing out the rule book (for now) until I feel comfortable writing my own rules. I’m reminded by the ancestors that I own my image, and share my thoughts out of love for the arts, married with the realities of sexual and reproductive health outcomes.***
